Pupil Premium

PUPIL PREMIUM FUNDING

The Pupil Premium is additional funding given to publicly funded schools in England to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and to ‘close the gap’ between their achievement and the achievement of those pupils who do not qualify.

Pupil Premium funding is paid to schools according to the number of pupils who have been:

registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years or have been in care for six months or longer.

More general information about the Pupil Premium can be found here

The school commissioned a review of the pupil premium spend in February 2017. A new strategy for this academic year incoroprating the actions identified in the review is found below.

At Woodlands we have a dedicated member of staff who is responsible for children who qualify for pupil remium or who are looked after and accomodated. Miss Hibbert is the main contact. If you think your child may be eligible for extra funding please contact the school.
