Welcome from the Headteacher
Welcome from the Interim Headteacher
I’m delighted to welcome you to Woodlands Primary Academy and Nursery.
As Interim Headteacher, I’m incredibly proud of our school community. At Woodlands, we believe every pupil, regardless of background, deserves the very best opportunities to thrive. Our knowledge-rich curriculum, rooted in our core values of respect, kindness, honesty, responsibility and determination, helps our children grow into confident, independent, and resilient learners.
We have high expectations and a strong focus on quality teaching, especially in English, reading and maths, supported by targeted learning interventions where needed. However, our commitment goes far beyond academic success. From outdoor Bushcraft lessons and exciting enrichment clubs to music, sport, and leadership opportunities, we offer a wealth of experiences that help our pupils discover their passions and shine.
Pastoral care is central to our ethos. Through our PSHE programme called Jigsaw, our Restorative Justice approach, and our dedicated staff, we ensure every pupil feels heard and supported.
This website offers just a glimpse of life at Woodlands. If you're considering a place for your child, I warmly invite you to visit us—meet our wonderful pupils, explore our site, and to see our school in action.
I look forward to welcoming you in person soon.
