Our Vision and Values
We are Growing – The Woodlands’ Way!
At Woodlands, we are committed to creating a nurturing and inspiring environment where every pupil can thrive. In-line with the Creative Education Trust ethos, our whole school culture is built around five key values that guide our teaching, relationships, and daily life:
• Respect – Encouraging pupils to value themselves, others, and their community
• Kindness – Fostering empathy, compassion, and positive interactions
• Honesty – Promoting integrity, fairness, and trust
• Responsibility – Supporting children to take ownership of their learning and actions
• Determination – Building resilience and a growth mindset to overcome challenges
We bring these values to life through high-quality teaching, a broad and engaging curriculum, and a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities.
Our goal is to help every pupil develop independence, character, and confidence. By the end of Year 6, we want our pupils to be not only academically prepared, but also emotionally and socially equipped to take their next steps at age 11.
The Woodlands Way
In every classroom and around the school, we follow The Woodlands Way—three simple but powerful behaviours that help create a safe and positive learning environment:
- Ready to learn and grow.
- Respectful to all.
- Safe – Contribute to a safe learning environment.
At Woodlands, we aim to treat everybody with respect and kindness, and to always tell the truth. We expect all of our children to be determined, to work to the best of their abilities, allowing others to do the same, whilst also taking responsibility for their actions. We believe that, under these conditions, all of our children can thrive.
