The use of progress scores enables schools to measure progress over time. Where a school's progress score is a + this means that pupils in that school have made better than expected progress between the ages of 7 and 11 years. Due to movement of pupils, particularly where new pupils come to the school, not all children are included in the progress scores.

Understanding Our Results
Meeting the Expected Standard
Pupils are meeting the expected standard if they:
• Achieve a scaled score of 100 or more in their Reading and Maths tests
• Are assessed by their teacher as working at the expected standard or better in Writing Achieving a Higher Standard Pupils are achieving at a higher standard if they:
• Achieve a scaled score of 110 or more in Reading and Maths
• Are assessed by their teacher as working at greater depth within the expected standard in Writing
Progress Scores Explained
Progress scores compare the results of pupils at our school with those of pupils across England who had similar starting points at the end of Key Stage 1.
• A score above zero means pupils made more progress than similar pupils nationally
• A score below zero means pupils made less progress than similar pupils nationally
Note: Progress scores are not published for 2023/24 or 2024/25 due to the absence of KS1 baseline data during the COVID-19 pandemic.
