Mental Health and Wellbeing
At Woodlands Primary Academy, we believe that good mental health and wellbeing are essential for pupils to achieve, thrive, and grow, both in school and beyond.
Supporting mental health helps pupils to:
• Attend school regularly
• Develop key life skills, especially social and emotional skills
• Engage confidently in learning
• Achieve academically
Our Whole School Approach
We embed mental health and wellbeing into every aspect of school life through:
• A positive ethos and inclusive environment that promotes respect and values diversity
• Curriculum teaching that builds resilience and supports social and emotional learning
• Opportunities for student voice to shape decisions
• Targeted support and referrals to CAMHS when needed
